Financial and Retirement Planning for 30 Years

Kit Kincade brings a broad range of experience as a writer, teacher and practitioner to his work in retirement and investment planning. He has been a financial service professional for 30 years, with a particular focus in retirement plans for individuals, businesses, and professional practices.

His work includes designing and providing investment counseling for 401(k) and 403(b) retirement plans. He is currently responsible for all 403(b) accounts with the American Funds® for JeffersonCountyPublic School employees and has worked with JCPS personnel since 1996.

He has been certified as a financial planner by both national accrediting organizations. He is a securities registered representative and a licensed insurance consultant, having satisfied Kentucky's stringent requirements for fee-based insurance planners.

He has taught continuing education for CPA's, insurance agents and other financial planners and has published articles on estate planning and executive compensation for Business First and opinion pieces in The Courier-Journal. He has appeared on local television as having extreme proficiency in the financial planning field.

Before entering the financial service profession in 1978, he worked in the newspaper and printing industries. He served with The Associated Press for nine years, three as Kentucky bureau chief.

He received his B.A. degree from Yale University.
