KFG Enterprises is led by three outstanding and experienced financial professionals.

Ernest A. Sampson, ChFC, CLU, CFP®, AEP

Chief Executive Officer

Ernest A. Sampson began his financial services career in 1978. Today he is chief executive officer of KFG Enterprises, Inc., the holding company for interests in a number of related financial services companies. He serves as the president of Kentucky Financial Group, Inc. and is a board member of Private Client Services, LLC, a Louisville-based financial planning firm that provides estate and financial planning for many of Kentucky’s most prominent citizens. KFG maintains its corporate headquarters in Louisville, KY, where its roots were planted in 1928.

As head of the firm, Mr. Sampson oversees the day-to-day operations and work being conducted by this multifaceted financial services firm. In addition to this responsibility, he has his own individual estate and financial planning practice. Over the years, he has become noted for his work in the estate and tax planning areas. He has been recognized by the National Association of Estate Planners as an Accredited Estate Planner.

Mr. Sampson received the prestigious Chartered Financial Consultant designation from the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA. Additionally, he has received the CLU designation, which denotes a preparedness to render competent advice in the area of insurance matters. Finally, he is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, having earned this preeminent mark of professional preparedness for financial counseling.

Mr. Sampson has passed the following examinations: General Securities Principal (Series 24), General Securities Representative (Series 7), Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative (Series 6), Uniform Securities Agent State Law (Series 63) and life and health insurance. He attended Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, KY.

Mr. Sampson has authored several articles for industry publications and been featured in a number of newspapers and magazines. He has appeared on both radio and television as a recognized leader in the financial planning field. He has been recognized for the work he has done with high net-worth individuals on charitable giving.

Mr. Sampson has served on the boards of numerous civic and professional organizations. His peers have elected him to serve as president for several industry organizations. He has taught classes in financial planning, charitable giving, taxation and economics.



John E. Hill

John E. Hill has over 25 years experience in the securities and advisory business and is a registered principal with Woodbury Financial Services, Inc, member of FINRA, SIPC, A Registered Investment Advisor. He is a graduate of Auburn University and holds the designation of Certified Funds Specialist from California’s Institute of Business and Finance. He also has served as Senior Vice President of Kentucky Financial Group, Inc. since 1992.

John has appeared in numerous articles in various business publications and also has been a guest on a variety TV and radio media programs discussing securities and advisory topics. He is a member of National Society of Compliance Professionals and has a local affiliation with the Louisville Civil War Roundtable and Filson Club.


Todd S. Kost

Todd S. Kost began his financial services career in 1995. His experience includes equity research analysis for the Sachs Company and its mutual fund. His duties included stock trading for the mutual fund and its advisory clients. Mr. Kost also helped charter the Louisville Trust Company and the development of its practice as one of Louisville’s own privately held, state-charted trust companies.

Mr. Kost held a number of professional positions in the engineering field before pursing a more traditional business position by joining Andersen Consulting. Mr. Kost’s experience with Andersen Consulting exposed him to dozens of companies in several industries, including manufacturing, medical and entertainment.

Today, Mr. Kost helps manage KFG Enterprises, Inc., where he oversees every facet of its practice. During Mr. Kost’s tenure, KFG has experienced significant growth with
financial professionals in 10 states. Moreover, KFG has grown to become one of the preeminent financial services firms in this region and is without peer with respect to breadth of services, size and level of financial expertise. Mr. Kost also maintains his own individual estate and financial planning practice, with clients ranging from business owners to retirees.

Mr. Kost is a native Hoosier. He earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and a minor in economics from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He received the prestigious John T. Royse Award as the faculty recognized him as the most
outstanding graduate based upon his academic work and student leadership, including student body president.

Mr. Kost has served on numerous civic and charitable advisory boards, including the Children’s Hospital Foundation and Greater Louisville, Inc.
